Privacy policy

Everything stays on your device

Routinius stores your routines, your children's first names, any photos you choose for steps and any voice recordings you make in a file on your iPhone or iPad. We do not operate a server that receives them, and there is no sync to us.

Children

Routinius is used by children. The app has no ads, no tracking, no third-party code that collects data, and no way for a child to contact anyone. Editing, settings, purchases and outside links are behind a grown-up question.

Microphone, photos and notifications

The microphone is used only while a parent records a voice prompt for a step. Photos are read only when a parent picks one for a step, through Apple's photo picker. Notifications are local reminders that a timer has ended; they are scheduled on the device. All three are optional.

No account

The app has no sign-up and no login. We don't collect your name, email or phone number.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Apple shares anonymized sales reports with us.

Diagnostics

If you've opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymous crash and usage data.

This website

This site doesn't use advertising cookies. The free visual timer runs in your browser and doesn't send anything anywhere.

We use PostHog to count anonymous page views, scroll depth, clicks on App Store buttons and page speed, so we can improve our guides. It's configured without cookies or persistent identifiers and doesn't record sessions. This applies to the website only; the app has no analytics.
